The Cage is run by We Wanted to be Footballers Pte Ltd – WWTBF. The company is dedicated to the serious business of fun football for the recreational player or the “Sunday-morning-kickabout”. Football is the country's most popular game and rightfully so. It is the most democratic of games – where economic or social standing really don't matter at all. And the simplicity of the excitement delivered – camaraderie of a team, getting control of the ball, speed, trickery, power - cannot be matched by other games.

Land scarce Singapore only seems to be able to provide the competitive footballer. The recreational player eventually turns to golf or tennis. WWTBF will change all of that. We provide comfortable facilities that will deliver a new brand of football to all.

Always got selected for school soccer teams. I even got admitted into college earlier to play soccer for them. College coach even called me a "diamond in the rough".

But extremely bad grades in my first year (I nearly flunked - had to beg the Malay Cikgu for 1 mark to stay afloat) and that was enough for me to trade in the boots for the books.

Since then this diamond never got polished but the hair on my head sure got the shine!

As PE teacher, the ONLY lesson was football. Unfortunately, during a game with 11-year olds, stepped on the ball, the knee went one way, the body the other and the big toe went skywards.

Was never the same player and the United Chief scout never returned to Asia.

Opponents never respected my presence on the field due to my small physique. But I took advantage of that and scored a hat-trick in the finals of a soccer competition at the varsity, 8 years ago.

Till today, still looking for the magic touch.....???? Hopefully it will be back one day.......

I was a prolific player at the S-League level. I personally was responsible for a defense that was as watertight as an unopened Milkmaid condensed milk tin.

However, during the pre-season friendly, we played a second rate team on a 3rd rate pitch. During only their second attack (they were 4-0 down and I had scored 1 already), I went in for the sliding tackle, took the ball away from the 200kg attacker, who leapt up to avoid my Predator boots and promptly landed on my groin.

While he was pleading for his innocence, I was pleading for my future generation. I was taken to Changi Hospital, then KK Children's hospital and told while I will father many a child, getting a consenting woman will be a problem due to the permanent gait that I will have when I walk. It might not have been sexy but I am sure it will make Lat happy.

They call me 'Mr Hard Man' not because I'm as sturdy as the Walls of China, but for the endless fatal clashes I survived. Head clashes are my forte and hospitals are my haven.

As vivid as it can be, the Godzillic game against Myammar caused a fiery ball of disco light to be sought after by the two twintowers of the backline. Double jeopardy when history repeated itself and I ended up unconscious again.

But no WORRIES, I woke up a changed man. From that moment on, i felt that my head is as solid as a diamond which needs another diamond to break it up. Heading is not a problem anymore, cause others get concussed instead that is why i ended up at the 'CAGE'.
